in community projects, and support for welfare and educational institutions besides cultural and charity activities.

 

Young IndiansYoung Indians

KSS supports Young Indians Akshara, It is a learning resource center with 174 unique learning materials and 90 books, setup in primary schools across the country.

The objectives of the Young Indians initiative are:-

  • to foster the values and skills of quality citizenship from an early age
  • to facilitate all students to secure their future with their learning
  • and to increase interest in the school environment

Unique aspects of Akshara include training teachers to use the unique materials for effective results, creating a positive impact on the children using them and a test methodology to evaluate the effectiveness of the programme.

We have launched 2 Young Indians Akshara centres in Hyderabad, 8 in Kochi, 2 in Delhi, 16 in Chennai, 2 in Mumbai, 6 in Coimbatore and 1 each in Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune and Chittoor. Together, these centres cover around 11,000 students and 125 teachers in 10 cities.
